James Chryssikos is an experienced divorce, family law attorney and mediator in Troy, Michigan. He has practiced nearly exclusively in the field of divorce and family law for over 20 years in Southeast Michigan.  Mr. Chryssikos earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Michigan State University in 1996 and Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2000.

Admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 2000, Mr. Chryssikos is licensed to practice in all courts in the State of Michigan, as well as in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He is AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbell as Preeminent in the area of Family Law, as well as being selected by Super Lawyers as a top family law attorney in the State of Michigan each year since 2018.  He also holds a Certificate of Completion in the area of Family Law from the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, and he is also trained as a domestic relations mediator, demonstrating his commitment to the area of divorce and family law.

An active member of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, Mr. Chryssikos is trained in Collaborative Divorce, serving on the Board of Directors of the Collaborative Practice Institute of Michigan (CPIM) since 2020, including serving as CPIM President in 2023.  He serves on the Family Law Council for the State Bar of Michigan, where he previously chaired the Collaborative Divorce Committee, and currently co-chairs the Legislative Committee.  He serves on the Editorial Board of the Michigan Family Law Journal in which has publish multiple articles relating to family law issues.
